Want to know if our boys boarding school is right for your loved one? Don't want to send your teen to a juvenile boot camp? Read more about how our intervention for teenagers is helping to change lives and unite families.
Wood Creek Academy is a licensed boarding school for troubled youth located in the rugged mountains of rural Western Montana. This remote ranch setting, far from modern distractions, is the ideal environment for struggling teens to begin a new and positive direction in their lives. Our unique wilderness therapeutic boarding school helps young men ages 13 to 18 recognize their full potential and make a lasting positive change.
Wood Creek Academy is a leader in the industry. Our principal owners each have over 12 years of hands-on experience and have been involved in helping to define the state regulatory process since Montana began regulation. When licensing was instituted in Montana, we were asked to be advisors to the board of measures. We are proud to have license number 13! We continue to attend board meetings and have direct input on policies and procedures.
Our mission at Wood Creek Academy is to empower each individual to take responsibility for their past and challenge them to be accountable for their future. Through our supportive and caring process, we help individuals reclaim their lives and master the skills needed for a happy, successful future.
We understand that choosing a program for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. Wood Creek Academy for boys is committed to improving the lives of individuals by providing a therapeutic program dedicated to helping troubled teens and their families recover from the destructive effects of behavior-related problems. If you're searching for Christian boarding schools for troubled boys, we offer a Christian-based “Outward Bound,” experience a few times a year.
Our Teen Wilderness Therapy Program is Effective
Unlike a juvenile boot camp, we teach effective communication skills including identifying and coping with emotions and letting go of self-defeating behaviors. The program at our troubled teen school is based on accountability and responsibility incorporating the fundamentals of a 12-step program for low self-esteem. Our program includes fully accredited academics, communication courses, one-on-one counseling, and male staff mentorship.
Each student has a personalized plan for success. The minimum length of enrollment in our program is 3 months. An average stay is 9 months to 1 year, based on the individual's needs and goals. We encourage our parents to remain supportive while their youth goes through this process.
"There never was a night or problem, that could defeat sunrise or hope."
